Maybe you work in the oilfield and you need a tough truck to get you where you need to be, but you also need a nice, dependable vehicle for your family. Fortunately, you don’t have to settle for one or the other – there are plenty of nice, strong, dependable trucks that can serve as your work truck and your family vehicle.
The Best Trucks for Work and Family
These are just a few of the best trucks that Integrity has in stock that can address both your work and family needs.
Chevy Silverado
This long-lasting leader in versatile trucks easily fits a family of six with its double-cab configuration. Expect plenty of leg room (and easily fit at least two child car seats) in the rear. As far as power, it’s got a 6.2-liter V8 with 400 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque, and boasts a towing capacity of around 11,000 lbs. The Silverado 3500 HD can tow more than 23,000 lbs.
RAM 1500
It’s nice, comfortable interior has plenty of headroom and legroom to spare. Hemi V8 models offer an exceptionally smooth ride, with 9,200 lbs towing capacity for those looking for the ability to tow moderate amounts. Not as muscular as the diesel-fueled RAM 3500, but strong enough and very family-friendly.
GMC Sierra
Built on the same platform, the Sierra shares the same dimensions as the Silverado. Later-year model Sierra SLTs feature leather-appointed cabin, duel-zone climate control and IntelliLink infotainment.
Ford F-150
Utilizing military-grade aluminum in its SuperCab and SuperCrew styles, this truck is another ideal choice for a family of six. It has over 40 inches of both front and rear headroom, over 43 inches of front legroom, and between 33 and 44 inches of rear legroom. The 2016 model was the first full-size pickup to earn a Top Safety Pick recognition from IIHS, and it received a 5-star Overall Safety Score from NHTSA for all cab configurations.
Toyota Tundra
Available in double-cab and CrewMax configurations. The front has nearly 40 inches of headroom and 42.5 inches of legroom, while the rear has nearly 39 inches of headroom and nearly 35 inches (double-cab) or over 42 inches (CrewMax) of legroom. If you’re wanting a tow package, the CrewMax (only Tundra available with Toyota’s towing package) is rated to tow 8,100 lbs in its top-level trim.
So, whether you’re looking for a dependable, safe, and roomy vehicle to transport your family of five or six; or you need a tough muscular truck for working outdoors – or both – Integrity Auto Finance has the ideal truck to fit your needs.
Joy Butler
You did a great job of explaining that GMC Sierra has the same dimensions as the Silverado. But if you were to ask me, I’d prefer Chevy Silverado than GMC Sierra. I’ll surely take note of this information as I might have one early next year!
