Preston Miller (General Manager): What’s up, guys? Happy Test Drive Tuesday. Today I’ve got Cody, our inventory specialist. He’s going to be my chauffeur today. He’s one of our inventory specialists.  Cody’s job is to… he’s not a car salesman. His job is to learn our inventory inside and out and all of the reconditioning that goes into them so he can inform our customers as best as possible when they come in the door, right?

Cody (Inventory Specialist): Yeah! One of the great things about being here at Integrity is that, for me, I just get to help you guys make an informed decision and just walk you through and be involved in that purchasing process with you. It’s a really low-pressure environment. I love working here so far; it’s been great.

Preston: And you get to do these awesome Test Drive Tuesday videos with me. And we’re driving a weird, rare kind of car today, right? This one’s different.

Cody: It’s a little old school Miata.

Preston: It’s an ’02 Mazda Miata. You don’t see these things very often anymore. This one’s got only 71,000 miles on the clock. And it’s completely reconditioned by our shop here at Integrity. So, Cody, I know you’ve worked on the reconditioning records on this car. Can you tell us a little bit about what we did to get this car ready?

Cody: So this one went through our 132-point inspection, and we put brand new brake pads and rotors on the front and the back. We also put brand new tires on all four corners.

Preston: You know, one thing you don’t want to worry about when you buy a car is taking it right to the shop to get it serviced. Speaking of wind noise, this little tiny car driving 40-50 miles an hour and it’s just quiet as can be in here.

Cody: With the top up, it’s great.

Preston: Ice-cold air conditioner. And, if you wanted to put the top down and have any more sporty fun times, you could do that. This one’s an automatic, so you don’t have to worry about shifting gears and doing all that stuff. I know a lot of people nowadays you’ve got all kinds of stuff going on. You don’t want to have to be shifting gears if you can avoid it. This one’s a little four-cylinder automatic with ice-cold air conditioner. It’s like driving a go-kart that goes 80.

Gas-Saver

Cody: And one of the great things about it being a four-cylinder, even though it’s a Miata and being super sporty, is that you still get great gas mileage. This thing gets around 22MPG, on average.

Preston: That’s nice. So, if you’re looking for a cheap little commuter car — if you didn’t have to haul a bunch of stuff or people around — and you needed something that was going to save you some fuel money and also be fun and enjoyable to drive, this would be an awesome one for you. You could put the top down on the weekend and go cruise around the lake. You can also save some fuel money going to work on the weekdays.
