Dontay Pompey (Sales Manager): We’re going to climb up in this thing! Another diesel — you’ve done it again, Preston! Yeah, this one’s nice — leather and luxury!

Dontay: This is too nice inside to be a work truck, man.

Preston: Happy Test Drive Tuesday, everybody. Today Dontay and I are driving a 2014 Ford F-250 Lariat — 6.7L Powerstroke, four-wheel-drive, completely loaded inside and out. It’s got all kinds of cool features in here, doesn’t it?

Dontay: That’s an understatement! It’s crazy-loaded; this is ridiculous. I mean,… in a work truck, man! This is going to somebody — anybody that’s staying in their truck, getting to an oil rig or site and have to be in their truck for long periods of time. You’re in the living room.

Preston: It’s a comfortable truck, right here. So, pearl white on the outside; it’s got a big ranch hand front bumper cattle guard on the front. It also has factory 20″ wheels, brand new tires on them. It’s a long bed truck, so you could put a diesel tank or a toolbox and still have plenty of room to pull a trailer. It’s already got the gooseneck hitch in the bed. This truck, I mean,… it’s a good truck.

Completely Loaded Work Truck

Preston: Inside, we’re loaded with the heated and cooled front seats, black leather, sunroof, power sliding back window back there in the back — see that sliding open back there?

Dontay: It’s got it all.

Preston: Big touchscreen stereo with Ford’s SYNC system in it so you can plug your phone in and play all your phone calls, all your music, right onto the factory speakers in the truck. It also has the backup camera, everything integrated in, navigation — this thing is completely loaded. And you’re right — it’s a work truck because it’s a 3/4-ton diesel 4WD, but at the same time, it’s got all the luxury features that’s going to make it enjoyable to drive. You’re not going to feel like you’re working, you’re going to actually like driving this truck with all these creature comfort little things that it’s got going on.

Dontay: Yeah, it’s got that good SUV-feel, even. It actually feels more luxury than some of our SUVs on the lot. That is crazy.

Preston: A lot of these guys that are out there working in the oil field or construction or lawn care, you know, these self-employed guys, they don’t want to drive some plain old work truck with crank windows everyday. They want something nice. They work hard and they deserve a car they enjoy.

Dontay: That’s true. Or they use their work truck for their daily commute, too. So, therefore, they want something nice. I can definitely see that.

Preston: And you’ve got room for the whole crew — room for the whole family in here. You could put three car seats back there. It’s got WeatherTech floor mats already in it. This truck even has heated seats in the back, too.

Dontay: Oh, nice!

Preston: Backseats are heated, too. Like I said, this truck’s completely loaded. A gorgeous truck.

Dontay: I like the wood grain look up front.

Preston: It’s completely reconditioned. So, you know, new oil filters, fuel filters — whatever it would have needed whenever we did our inspection on it, it would have gotten. This thing’s ready to go to work; it runs and drives like brand new.
